Installation Guide for Common Rail Fuel Pump
Notice:
Installation must be performed by certified and trained diesel specialists with appropriate tools.
Ensure a clean, dust-free work environment before opening any fuel system components. Contamination can cause immediate pump damage.
Always replace the fuel filter and completely clean the fuel tank before installing the new pump.
Removal and Installation Steps:
Disconnect the vehicle battery and depressurize the fuel system.
Clean the area around the old pump thoroughly to prevent dirt from entering the engine.
Disconnect all electrical connectors (including the SCV and fuel temperature sensor) and high-pressure fuel lines.
Remove the mounting bolts and carefully pull out the old pump.
Inspect and clean the mounting surface on the engine block.
Install a new O-ring or gasket on the new pump. Apply a thin layer of clean engine oil to the seal.
Align the pump gear with the engine timing marks as specified by the vehicle manual, then carefully insert the pump.
Tighten the mounting bolts according to the original manufacturer torque specifications.
Reconnect all fuel lines and electrical connectors. Ensure the lines are free of tension and properly aligned.
Prime the fuel system to bleed out any trapped air before starting the engine. Do not crank the engine for an extended time.
Start the engine and inspect carefully for any fuel leaks or abnormal noises. Use a diagnostic scanner to check for Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs).
