107-7735 Fuel Injector Installation Guide
Section 1: Pre-Installation & Preparation

Clean the Bore: Thoroughly clean the injector sleeve/bore hole in the cylinder head. Ensure it is completely free of dirt, carbon buildup, or old fuel residue.

O-Ring Lubrication: Install new O-rings onto the injector body and tip. Apply a thin film of clean engine oil to the O-rings to prevent tearing during insertion.

Inspect the Brass Sleeve: Check the copper/brass injector sleeve inside the head for signs of wear or pitting. If damaged, it must be reamed or replaced to ensure a tight seal.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Because the 107-7735 is a mechanical unit injector (MUI), you MUST perform mechanical synchronization after installation.

Rocker Arm Reinstallation: Reinstall the rocker arm shaft assembly and torque according to standard CAT manual settings.

Injector Synchronization (The Rack Adjustment): Use a dial indicator to set the exact timing and synchronization of the injector fuel control rod relative to the master control rack.

Fuel System Priming: Manually prime the fuel system using the hand primer pump to purge any trapped air before cranking the engine to prevent dry fires or spring failures.
