Clean the injector well/bore in the cylinder head thoroughly. Ensure the seat is free of carbon deposits, debris, and fluid. Cleanliness is the #1 priority for common rail systems.
Always install a brand new copper sealing washer (heat shield) and new O-rings. Lubricate the O-rings with a thin film of clean engine oil before installation.
Carefully guide the injector straight into the bore. Do not force or drop it, as the delicate nozzle tip can be easily damaged.
Install the injector hold-down clamp. Tighten the bolt using a torque wrench to the exact manufacturer specification (typically done in stages).
Align and connect the high-pressure fuel supply pipe (delivery pipe) and fuel return line. Tighten the fuel line nuts to the specified torque. Never bend the high-pressure pipes.
Connect the electrical harness plug to the injector solenoid. If applicable, program the 7-digit IMA/QR code printed on the injector top into the engine ECU using a diagnostic tool.
