Clean the engine block area thoroughly before removal.
Rotate the engine to Top Dead Center (TDC) on Cylinder 1 and align the timing gear marks before seating the new pump.
Lubricate the new pump O-ring with clean engine oil.
Slide the pump into position, ensuring the gear splines/woodruff key engage smoothly.
Torque the mounting bolts in a cross-pattern to factory specs, then torque the drive gear nut.
Remove protective caps and connect all fuel lines. Torque high-pressure lines precisely to avoid leaks or seat distortion.
Plug in the Suction Control Valve (SCV) electrical connector.
Use the manual priming pump to bleed air out of the low-pressure system before starting.
Start the engine and check thoroughly for leaks at idle.
