Turn crankshaft to Top Dead Center (TDC) on the compression stroke.
Fit a new O-ring onto the pump housing and lubricate with clean engine oil.
Install the drive gear onto the pump shaft and hand-tighten the nut.
Align the timing marks on the pump drive gear with the engine's idle gear through the rear cover inspection hole.
Insert the pump into the engine cover. Torque mounting nuts to 25 N·m (18 lb-ft).
Lock the crankshaft to prevent rotation.
Torque the pump drive gear nut to 132 N·m (97 lb-ft).
Connect high/low-pressure fuel lines using new seals.
Plug in the Suction Control Valve (SCV) and sensor connectors.
Prime the fuel system to bleed air, start the engine, and check for leaks.
