Key Testing Parameters & Criteria

  • Tightness / Leakage Test

    • Criterion: No visible external leakage at the nozzle or body under high pressure. Internal back-leakage must not exceed the maximum limit.

  • Full Load Delivery / VL

    • Criterion: Tests maximum fuel output under high speed and pressure. Deviation must be within $pm 5%$ of the standard value.

  • Idling Delivery / LL

    • Criterion: Tests fuel stability at low speed. Uneven delivery will cause engine rough idling.

  • Pre-Injection / VE

    • Criterion: Tests ultra-short, small-volume injection before the main combustion. Crucial for reducing engine noise and knock.

  • Emission / Partial Load Delivery / EM

    • Criterion: Simulates daily driving conditions; ensures compliant emissions and fuel economy.

Fuel System Components (Injectors & Pumps)

Q1: Why does my newly installed injector have high back-leakage or a rough idle?

A: In 90% of cases, this is caused by fuel system contamination (microscopic dirt, rust, or metal shavings from a failing high-pressure pump). Even tiny particles can stall the internal valve. Another common reason is incorrect installation torque, which distorts the injector body.

Q2: Do I need to code/program the injectors after installation?

A: Yes. For modern common rail injectors, you must program the calibration code (such as IMA/IQA code printed on the connector) into the vehicle’s ECU using a diagnostic scanner. This ensures the ECU delivers the precise fuel volume required.

Q3: Can I reuse the old copper washers and O-rings?

A: Absolutely not. Copper washers flatten upon first use to create a perfect seal. Reusing them causes combustion gas leakage, which melts the injector nozzle or creates heavy carbon buildup ("black death") in the injector bore. Always use the brand-new seals provided.

Q4: What are the main signs of a failing fuel injector?

A: The most common symptoms include:

  • Difficulties starting the engine (due to high back-leakage failing to build rail pressure).

  • Black or white smoke from the exhaust.

  • Engine knocking or rough idling.

  • Increased fuel consumption and loss of engine power.

Q5: What is your warranty policy, and what voids it?

A: We offer a standard warranty on manufacturing defects. However, the warranty is voided under the following conditions:

  • Damage caused by fuel contamination (water, dirt, or bad quality diesel).

  • Incorrect installation torque or improper handling.

  • Disassembling the component without our technical team's authorization.
