⚠️ IMPORTANT NOTICE:
Common rail fuel injectors are high-precision components with tolerances measured in microns. To prevent premature failure or damage, installation should be performed by a certified diesel technician in a dust-free environment.

Step 1: Deep Clean the Fuel System (Crucial)
Flush the System: Thoroughly clean and flush the fuel tank, high-pressure fuel rail, and all connecting fuel lines.

Replace the Fuel Filter: Always install a brand-new, high-quality OE-grade fuel filter.

> Note: 95% of premature injector failures are caused by microscopic debris or water contamination left in the fuel system.

Step 2: Inspect and Clean the Injector Seat
Remove Old Deposits: Use a professional injector seat cleaning tool to remove all carbon build-up and debris from the cylinder head injector bore.

Ensure a Flat Surface: The seat must be perfectly clean and smooth to ensure a proper gas-tight seal.

Step 3: Prepare the New Injector
Keep Caps On: Leave the protective plastic caps on the fuel inlet and nozzle until the very moment of connection to prevent airborne dust from entering.

Replace O-Rings & Washers: Always use the brand-new copper sealing washer and O-rings provided with the injector. Never reuse old copper washers.

Apply Lubricant: Apply a thin layer of clean diesel fuel or specialized high-temperature anti-seize grease to the injector body (avoiding the nozzle tip).

Step 4: Mechanical Installation & Torque Settings
Insert Carefully: Gently slide the injector into the cylinder head bore without forcing or striking it.

Torque to Specs: Tighten the injector hold-down clamp bolts strictly to the vehicle manufacturer’s specified torque.

> Warning: Undertightening causes compression leaks; overtightening can distort the internal valve sleeve, causing the needle to stick.

Step 5: Connect Fuel Lines & Electrical Harness

High-Pressure Pipes: Align and hand-tighten the high-pressure fuel lines before final torquing. Ensure there is no tension or misalignment.

Electrical Plug: Securely click the electrical connector onto the solenoid valve terminal. Ensure the pins are clean and dry.

Step 6: ECU Coding / Programming (IMA Code)

Input Calibration Code: Most Euro IV, V, and VI injectors feature a unique laser-etched calibration code (IMA/QR code) on the top connector.

Update ECU: Use a professional diagnostic scanner to program this code into the vehicle’s ECU (Engine Control Unit) for the corresponding cylinder. This ensures exact fuel metering and smooth idling.

Step 7: System Priming & First Start
Bleed the Air: Prime the fuel system using the hand primer pump (if equipped) to bleed out trapped air. Do not crank the engine excessively to build pressure.

Leak Check: Start the engine and let it idle. Visually inspect the injector area and fuel lines for any signs of high-pressure fuel leaks.
